Physiotherapist wanted in Valais, Switzerland
- Physiotherapist
- Valais
- Permanent
- 32–42 hours per week
- CHF 38–51 per hour or a fixed monthly salary
Job description
We are looking for an active physiotherapist with a strong interest in musculoskeletal (MSK), sports rehabilitation and post-trauma for a modern physiotherapy practice in Valais. You will work with a sporty and international patient population, including many winter sports enthusiasts, athletes and people who wish to return to their active lifestyle following an injury or operation.
The practice focuses heavily on active rehabilitation, exercise therapy and back-to-sport programmes. Around half of the patients are international, so good communication in both French and English is essential.
What will you be doing?
You will treat patients with musculoskeletal (MSK) complaints, sports injuries and post-traumatic conditions. You will draw up treatment plans, supervise active rehabilitation and help patients return safely to sport, work or daily activities.
You will also collaborate with colleagues and external partners in the region, including ski schools. The practice will soon be moving to a medical centre with its own gym, creating even more space for active therapy and training.
About the location
The practice is located in a well-known mountain destination in the canton of Valais. The region is renowned for winter sports, outdoor activities and an international atmosphere.
It is busier in winter due to the ski season, whilst the summer is often a little quieter. This makes the role ideal for a physiotherapist who loves the mountains, sport and an active lifestyle.
We are looking for
- A completed degree in physiotherapy.
- Strong knowledge of musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions, sports rehabilitation and post-trauma.
- An active and patient-centred treatment style.
- Fluent in French and English.
- Good communication skills.
- A desire to stay in Switzerland for the long term.
- An affinity for sport, the mountains and an active lifestyle.
- Willingness to complete the Swiss accreditation process.
Your degree does not need to be fully recognised in Switzerland for this role. A positive PreCheck is sufficient to be considered. We will guide you through the steps required for Swiss recognition as the process continues. If necessary, the practice can also offer support with the recognition process.
The practice offers
- A permanent position for 32–42 hours per week.
- A salary of approximately CHF 38–51 per hour or a fixed monthly salary
- 5 weeks’ holiday per year.
- An active, sporty and international patient population.
- Plenty of scope for MSK, post-trauma and back-to-sport.
- A small and committed team.
- A new location in a medical centre with its own fitness room.
- Assistance with finding accommodation.
- Possibility of working part-time at another clinic.
PhysioMatch offers:
