Preparation for a Job Interview in Switzerland
In Switzerland, job interviews in physiotherapy usually take place directly with the practice owner. These are often private practices with small teams, where working independently is important. The interviews are generally conducted in German. Good preparation is essential to make a professional impression.
Content preparation
Find out more about the practice: Visit the practice’s website and, if available, its social media channels. Pay attention to the type of patients, the team, possible specialisations such as sports physiotherapy, neurology or geriatrics, and whether home visits are part of the work.
Be clear about your situation: Make sure you can clearly inform the practice about:
• Your educational background
• Work experience
• SRK recognition (status or application)
• Possible starting date
• Your level of German
Structure of the interview:
1. Opening by the practice owner
• Introduction and welcome
2. Personal questions for the candidate
2.1 Language preparation

• Introducing yourself briefly
• Explaining your education and work experience
• Explaining why you would like to work in Switzerland
• Describing your motivation and strengths
You can expect questions such as:
