Working as a Physiotherapist in Switzerland: Nikki's Experience

From losing her passion for work to a second life in Switzerland: Nikki’s adventure

After eight years of working as a physiotherapist in the Netherlands, Nikki decided it was time for a change. In Switzerland, she rediscovered her enjoyment of her profession, built a new social life and found a lifestyle where work, mountains and free time come together beautifully.

“I really am a physiotherapist at heart. But I had completely lost my enjoyment of the job.”
“It really feels like a second life.”
“When we started dating, I basically said straight away: I’d like to move abroad, so you know what you’re getting into.”
“At some point I simply said: Dorien, let’s do it.”
“I basically always follow my gut.”
“You really feel very welcome,” she says. Especially when you move to a new country on your own, she believes a workplace like that makes an enormous difference.
“I simply don’t have work stress anymore. That’s really great.”
“You shouldn’t wait for things to come to you. They won’t. You have to actively go out and look for them yourself.”
“Your working week is basically one big German lesson.”
“Every weekend here feels a little bit like a holiday.”
“It really feels like a second life. It’s such a different life.”
