We are looking for an enthusiastic physiotherapist for a small, personalised physiotherapy practice in Olten, Switzerland – someone who enjoys hands-on treatment and is keen to acquire new knowledge.

The practice is very centrally located, directly opposite Olten railway station. This means that cities such as Zurich, Bern, Basel and Lucerne are easily accessible by public transport. The practice operates on the basis of a personalised approach: the focus is not just on the condition, but on the patient as a person. Great importance is also attached to the patient’s active participation in the treatment process.

The main advantage of this workplace is the strong emphasis on continuing professional development. The practice invests heavily each year in the development of its physiotherapists. For example, if you wish to specialise further in sports physiotherapy or manual therapy, or if you have other training aspirations, there are opportunities to have the costs of such training fully reimbursed.

In addition, there is plenty of scope for training time. Depending on your personal development plan, this can amount to around four weeks per year, in addition to five weeks’ holiday.

For more extensive training programmes, it may be agreed that you commit to the practice for a longer period, for example with a two-year contract.

The practice

You will be joining a small, close-knit team with a wide range of specialist areas. The practice has a small exercise room and focuses strongly on active physiotherapy, training and rehabilitation.

The practice’s expertise includes sports physiotherapy, Maitland manual therapy, pelvic floor therapy, dry needling, medical training therapy (MTT), Bobath and the treatment of jaw and craniofacial issues according to the CRAFTA concept.

This means there are plenty of opportunities to learn from colleagues and further specialise.

What will you be doing?

• You will treat a wide range of outpatients, primarily with musculoskeletal complaints.
• You will work actively with patients on recovery, functional capacity and the prevention of recurring symptoms.
• You will be given the opportunity to further develop your own interests and specialisations.
• Are you interested in sports rehabilitation, manual therapy or, for example, knee and other orthopaedic rehabilitation? If so, this practice is a particularly good fit for you.
• You’ll be working in a small team where personal contact with patients and colleagues is important.

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for a physiotherapist who is enthusiastic, finds it easy to connect with others and is keen to become part of a small team.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• A completed 4-year Bachelor’s degree in physiotherapy.
• At least B1 level in German and the motivation to improve your German further.
• An interest in active physiotherapy, rehabilitation and/or sport.
• An interest in further developing your skills through courses or training programmes.
• An open and spontaneous personality.

Experience is welcome, but age is not a key factor. Even if you haven’t yet specialised in sports or manual therapy but would like to do so in the future, we’d love to hear from you.

• A starting salary for new physiotherapists of approximately CHF 6,100–6,300 gross per month, with opportunities for progression up to around CHF 6,900.
• 5 weeks’ annual leave.
