Myrthe’s adventure as a physiotherapist in Switzerland: Balancing work and leisure

Hello everyone,

It is now three months since I received my diploma as a physiotherapist and I am so happy to be working in beautiful Switzerland! It is an adventure that I enjoy every day and for which I am very grateful.

PhysioMatch

After graduating in the Netherlands, I was looking for opportunities in sports physiotherapy, but it seemed difficult to find them. Fortunately, I came across PhysioMatch, a platform that helps physiotherapists like me find suitable job opportunities. Thanks to them, I now have my dream job in a sports practice here in Switzerland, working with local sports teams and athletes. It’s great to see how happy they are with my help and advice. We are already seeing a positive impact on their performance and recovery as a result of the intensive counselling.

The working day

My days are filled with a variety of tasks, from running rehabilitation programmes to advising on injury prevention. I work closely with athletes to help them achieve their goals and perform at their best in training and competition. It is a dynamic and challenging environment where I learn and grow as a professional every day.

Free time

Away from work, I also enjoy my free time here in Switzerland. At the weekends I like to go out and enjoy the beautiful nature. Whether it is hiking in the mountains, cycling along the blue lakes or just relaxing in a cosy café in the city, there is always something to do. I have even discovered a new passion for winter sports such as skiing and snowboarding, which is perfect here with such great slopes around the corner.

Balance

I have found a balance between my work as a physiotherapist and my personal life here in Switzerland, and I am incredibly grateful for this experience. PhysioMatch helped me find this opportunity and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for me.

Thank you for reading my story!

Greetings,

Myrthe
